Everyone needs a home. Sitting at my home I am surrounded by pictures and memories. Everyone who I cherish in this life looking quietly back at me. They make up my home, my life and my heart.
CCF is rolling and it keeps rolling. It is home to so many. I am amazed at how many kids find excuses to be there during the day. Three guys are playing ping pong. Four freshmen I have never seen sit at a café table with an intern. In the kitchen two girls are making cookies for no reason. It is home. It is home.
This week we are having our first "Baptism Café." Over the past weeks we have been sharing the New Testament view of baptism and close to 10 kids will be baptized in the frigid lake waters. Instead of having our normal Café CCF we will take around 200 in caravans after Thursday Night Bible Study. Just another example how innovative the interns are this year.
Soon we will be announcing our intern group for the coming year. This year has been a great crop of interns. Freshterns - Ryan Langdale, Kyle Hamilton, Megan Venable, Amanda Kepfer and Tiffany Schoenhoff. Elliot Hunt has been working with the freshmen as well as being a full time student. He shares this stress with Chandler Creel who working with the Branch Barks along with Leah Heim, Chad Newton and Audrey Lewis. The new "20 Spot Leadership Group," is headed up by Jacob Tucker, Eddie Kelly and Courtney Buckner. Down at Auburn, Leland Franks is doing a great job with freshmen. In Salamanca Kristina Hull, Virginia Abell, Damien Valenti are great assets. Harold Whitaker is loving Puebla and Katie Ficke is heading down to Santiago for the new year.
So CCF is changing the world. Making homes for kids around the world. Not bad 'eh?

We have had an amazing year so far. It is my 5th and last year as a Georgia Tech student, so as things have been happening I have tried especially hard to store them up for sometime in the future when I am no longer a part of this amazing Christian community. The community is what it is all about here at GTCCF. On retreats we play silly games and stay up all night with each other forming community and laughing together. We have small groups, mentorships and planned events for the community of sharing life with each other. We serve the needs around us, in Atlanta, New Orleans, and even Africa, for the community of working together.

I have seen so many students come into this ministry and just get enveloped by the love and acceptance of Christ that shines through the people that make up this place. We have worked to make our campus house more and more inviting this year, creating little areas that are sectioned off called havens. Being a place of warmth and welcoming every student is a big priority to the leaders of this place. It worked for me! When I came for the first time the fall of my freshman year, I was hooked and have been involved ever since then.
CCF is the place that I discovered Jesus. I finally realized what He was all about and He became someone real to me. Watching other students who come here for the free food or even the cute girls is always exciting, because it doesn't take long for them to meet Jesus. I have been so challenged and encouraged to share that love with my campus through this ministry.
I love that this place is so important to so many people for such different reasons. For me, it's my community, my haven, and my springboard for outreach. The way that CCF has touched student's lives is so apparent in all the great things that are overflowing out of our doors. God is active here and is moving in the hearts of our campus. The excitement and energy that is growing here is contagious. Thank you for the role that you serve in this ministry.
